Inagua National Park is a national park established in 1965 on the island of Great Inagua, in the Bahamas. It covers an area of 744 sq km (183,740 acres).
Inagua National Park protects the largest breeding colony of the West Indian Flamingoes in the world. Where once the birds faced the danger of extinction, due to protective care, their numbers have increased to over 50,000 today. With Inagua National Park serving as a santuary for the flamingos, this also helped to increase its population in the nearby islands of Mayaguana, Acklins, Crooked Island, Andros and Cuba. Within Inagua National Park is Lake Rosa, the biggest lake in the Bahamas.
