Puerto Chacabuco is a town at the head of Aisén Fjord, in Aisé Province, Aisén Region, Chile. It was named after the Battle of Chacabuco of 1817.
Puerto Aisén was once the main port in the Aisén Fjord until the eruption of Mount Hudson volcano in 1991. The resulting ashes and erosion made the area around Puerto Aisén too shallow, and the port had to be moved to Puerto Chacabuco.
