Chambers Street is a street in Manhattan, New York City. It runs from Centre Street in front of the Manhattan Municipal Building, to the east to River Terrace and Battery Park City in the west.
In the early 20th century Chamber Street continued through the archway of the Manhattan Municipalo Building. Between Broadway and Centre Street, Chambers Street forms the northern boundary of the grounds surrounding New York City Hall and the Tweed Courthouse. Opposite the Tweed Courthouse sits the New York Surrogate's Court for Manhattan.
