City Hall of New York City is located in City Hall Park in Lower Manhattan, New York City. Built in 1811, it is the oldest City Hall in the United States that is still being used for its original functions. The City Hall has the office of the Mayor of New York City and the chambers of the New York City Council.
A short distance from City Hall is the Manhattan Municipal Building, which houses the office of the thirteen municipal agencies of the city.
