Empire Diner is the place to go when in New York City to experience eating in a classic American diner. It is located at No. 210, 10th Avenue, at the corner with West 22nd Street.
Like something that springs out of Laverne & Shirley, Empire Diner bills itself as the hippest diner on earth, but I'll let you be the judge of that. Its menu includes retro meals such as meat loaf & mashed potatoes ($9.50), linguini and meatballs ($8.50), roast chicken, cream gravy & cornbread stuffing ($10.00). There's more to eat than the aforementioned. Visit their website to learn some more at www.empire-diner.com.
