This is where students are trained for the Episcopal priesthood. Within the grounds of the seminary is the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, completed in 1888. It has a set of 15 tubular bells which are the oldest existing in the country still used to call the community to worship.
The General Theological Seminary follows a moderate-to-liberal cause on issues of morality and theology, as espoused by the ECUSA.
