Judson Memorial Church, Manhattan

Judson Memorial Church is a church at 55 Washington Square South in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York City. It is located between Thompson Street and Sullivan Street. Built in 1892 in the Romanesque style, Judson Memorial Church was named after Adoniram Judson, the first American to serve as a missionary in a foreign land. Judson was a missionary in Burma in 1811. His copy of the Bible in Burmese was placed in the cornerstone of the church when it was dedicated.
