The Museum Mile is a section within the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. It is a section of Fifth Avenue between 82nd to 104th Streets, in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood.

This section of New York City has one of the highest density of museums, galleries and other displays of culture on earth. It is in fact two blocks longer than a mile, and within this length you Fifth Avenue, you can visit eleven different museums, namely:
  1. 82nd Street: Metropolitan Museum of Art
  2. 86th Street: Neue Galerie New York
  3. 88th Street: Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
  4. 89th Street: National Academy Museum

  5. 91st Street: Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution

  6. 92nd Street: Jewish Museum
  7. 94th Street: International Center of Photography
  8. 103rd Street: Museum of the City of New York
  9. 104th Street: El Museo del Barrio
