One World Trade Center is the tallest building in New York City as well as the entire Western Hemisphere, surpassed only by Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Shanghai Tower and Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel. It occupies a city block bordered by West Street, Vesey Street, Fulton Street and Washington Street.
One World Trade Center reached its maximum height on 30 August, 2012, while its spire was installed on 10 May, 2013, giving it a total height of 1,792 ft. The height to the roof top is 1,776 ft, a significant number as it represents the year of the United States Declaration of Independence.

One World Trade Center occupies the site of the former 6 World Trade Center. It is one of four skyscrapers being built on the former World Trade Center site.
Getting there
One World Trade Center is connected via an underground retail concourse to the subway stations for the A, C, E, R, J, Z, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains, as well as to PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) subway line.
