Enjoying the Around the World Buffet Dinner
My wife and I had the pleasure of joining fellow bloggers as we explore the world of good food with Golden Sands Resort. We were there at the invitation of the resort's Director of Communications, Mr Suleiman Tunku Abdul Rahman, who was on hand to receive us and made us all feel right at home.
The moment we put aside our bags and took out our cameras, we were confronted by a dazzling array of food. Oh man, there's so much to eat here, and the food represent different cultures and cooking styles. Among the items we came across include Smoked Salmon, Sushi & Sashimi, Chilled Poached Prawns, various salads with a variety of Dressings and Cheese, the Szechuan Hot and Sour Soup (one of my favourite items), the Milano Pasta station with wide range of pasta including Spaghetti, Penne, Tagliatelle, Fusile and Macaroni, and the Baked Pasta with Egg Plant (ah yes, just like how my wife some times makes this at home).
We had a chance to meet Garden Cafe's Executive Chef, Chef Adrian, a veteran of the f&b industry, who has moved in many countries including Egypt, and has introduced to this buffet his signature Egyptian Chicken Sharwarma.
I have to admit that I did not try every dish in the buffet. My stomach just isn't big enough for everything. But everything that I tried I enjoyed all of them. Let me show you now the items we found at this buffet in words and pictures.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
