Jambatan Harapan Spiral Bicycle Bridge 希望之桥 (GPS: 5.3281, 100.30627) is a bridge across the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway in the Queensbay neighbourhood of Bayan Lepas. It is part of the Penang Island Coastal Cycling Route that is being built by the Penang State Government. The bridge allows cyclists and pedestrian to cross the expressway which is 11 meters below. The spiral of the bridge has a gradient of 5°, which less than the gradient of Jalan Bukit Gambir.
Also called Jambatan Harapan Pulau Pinang, the spiral bridge was built by the Penang Island City Council at a cost of RM8.9million, which also includes the construction of the bridges for bicycles across Sungai Nibong Kecil and Sungai Ara. Construction began in July 2016. The bridge provides grade separation for cyclists away from vehicular traffic and provides cycling as an option for both recreation and travel.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
