Taman Sri Nibong Park (GPS: 5.33237, 100.30079) is a public park in Taman Sri Nibong, in Sungai Nibong, Penang. It is believed to be the second largest public recreational park on Penang Island, after Polo Ground.
The Taman Sri Nibong Park was created when the housing estate was developed in the mid 1980s. In the beginning, it was padi fields and swampy land. Over time, the developer planted trees, carefully different types that suit the tropical climate, to be added to the park.
The Taman Sri Nibong Residents' Association, which has its building on one corner of the park, has been working vigorously to ensure that the park is well maintained. It has also been instrumental in improving the park from time to time. This includes the building of walking tracks around the area. There are now three sets of paved walking tracks around the park, making it a good place to go for a walk or stroll in the evening. The park is also lighted up at night, so it is possible to use it even after nightfall.
Today the Taman Sri Nibong Park is one of two parks in the housing estate. A second park, the Taman Sri Nibong Linear Park, was established in 2010.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
