Texas Chicken (GPS: 5.41335, 100.33126) has its first outlet in Penang at 1st Avenue Mall. The outlet opens to the public on Thursday, 19 January, 2017. Located on the Lower Ground Flooor, on Lots 15, 16 & 17, it is the 34th Texas Chicken outlet in Malaysia and the first in outlet in northern Malaysia.
Texas Chicken was founded in San Antonio, Texas, in 1952 by retired incubator salesman, George W. Church, Sr. At time of writing, Texas Chicken also has outlets in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. The outlet is operated franchise holder Envictus International Holdings Limited, which was formerly known as Etika Holdings.
Texas Chicken is famous for its chicken available as Original, Spicy, Tenders and Nuggets. These are served with two types of sauces namely the BBQ and Honey Mustard. Side orders include Honey-Butter Biscuits, French Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Coleslaw and Jalapeño Bombers. Other items include Mexicana Wrap, Tex Supreme Burger, and Strawberry Shortcake, to name some.
Texas Chicken at 1st Avenue Mall is open daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm.

Grand Opening of Texas Chicken 1st Avenue Mall
The Grand Opening of Texas Chicken 1st Avenue Mall was carried out in the presence of the Top Management of Texas Chicken Malaysia including Mr Amarpal Sandhu, the General Manager (Asia Pacific) of Texas Chicken, Dato' Kamal Tan, Chief Executive Office of Envictus International Holdings Limited and Mr Andrew Khew, General Manager of Texas Chicken Malaysia. Texas Chicken also invited orphans from various orphanages to a free meal at the outlet. The outlets is blessed for a roaring start with a lion dance.
