Chamalières is a town in the district of Puy-de-Dôme, in Auvergne, France. The town covers just 4 sq km (1.5 sq mi) and has a population of 18,300 people (2012 estimate).

Human habitation in Chamalières goes back to the 1st century AD, based on discovery of Gallo-Roman artifacts from that period.

How to go to Chamalières

Chamalières is located to the immediate west of the city of Clermont-Ferrand. The main road going from there is Route D68.
