Bad Salzuflen is a town in the district of Lippe in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It has a population of around 55,000 people (2012 estimate).
As its name suggests, Bad Salzuflen is a spa town. This is due to the presence of saltwater springs and thermal baths that has been known for a few centuries. In the old days the people here depended on the salt trade for their livelihood.
Today the old town of Bad Salzuflen has many well-preserved buildings from the 17th century.
