Bellagio is a small town in the province of Como, in the region of Lombardy, in northern Italy. Located at the point where the three arms of Lake Como meet, Bellagio covers 26 sq km (10 sq mi) and has a population of 3,000 people (2012 estimate). Its outstanding located has helped it develop into a popular tourist destination.
Human habitation in Bellagio goes back to the time of antiquity. The site was already known for its scenic beauty as early as the Roman times. Among the early visitors was Pliny the Younger, who in the 1st century AD wrote that he spend time in his villa there.
The modern tourism industry of Bellagio is said to begin in 1825, when Hotel Bellagio was established. Since then, many celebrities have made it their mecca, helping Bellagio promote itself as an upscale destination.

Fly to Bergamo-Orio al Serio Airport, then take the express bus to Como. Then change bus to reach Bellagio. From Milan, you can reach it by taking route SP41 heading north until you reach Bellagio.
