Bevagna is a town in the province of Perugia, in the region of Umbria, Italy. The town in the flood plain of the Topino river covers 56 sq km (22 sq mi) and has a population of 5,000 people (2012 estimate).
As with many of the towns in Umbria, Bevagna traces its history to the Etruscans. It became a Roman municipality in around 90 BC. The town is best known as the birthplace of painter Andrea Camassei (1602-49).
A number of cultural events are held in Bevagna every year. They include the food fair, Primavera medievale in April, the spring festival Arte in Tavola in end April and the summer festival Mercato delle Gaite.
