Crans-Montana is a ski resort in the canton of Valais, in the Swiss Alps. It is located on an average elevation of 1,500 m (4921 ft) above sea level. The village is scenic, with panoramic views of the Valais Alps and Weisshorn.

Skiing was popularized by the British visiting Switzerland, and today Crans-Montana is famous for its winter sports. The village is also a popular summer vacation destination, and every September it hosts the European golf championships.
One of the main skiing places in Crans-Montana is Plaine Morte, a glacier at an elevation of 2,750 m (9,020 ft) in the canton of Bern. It is reached via cable car from Crans-Montana. Cross-country skiing is possible here throughout the year.

As with many Swiss ski resorts, Crans-Montana has its share of celebrity residents, among them Roger Moore and Sophia Loren.

The A9 expressway (also called E62) is the motorway to take to reach Crans-Montana. The nearest town is Sion.
