San Bernardino is a mountain village in the canton of Graubünden, in southeastern Switzerland. The village of San Bernardino is near the southern entrance to the San Bernardino road tunnel which opened in 1967 to carry the A13 motorway. It has a speed limit of 80 km per hour. The tunnel is an alternative to the San Bernardino Pass which crosses the Swiss Alps at a height of 2,066 m (6,778 ft) to connect the Hinterrhein and the Mesolcina velleys.
Most of the people in San Bernardino speak Italy as their mother tongue. The local church dates to 1450.
