Langport is a small town in South Somerset, England. It has a population of just around a thousand people (2012 estimate).

The area around Langport has been inhabited since the Roman period. The Romans had a few villas built here. Langport itself dates back to the Anglo-Saxon period. It began as two separate settlements, one on the hill and another by the river. The settlement was listed in the Domesday Book of 1086.

Langport is on the east bank of the River Parrett, where it joins the River Yeo. From here, the river flows into the Somerset Levels, past Bridgwater and into the Bristol Channel.
