Festive Celebration food review
My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying the Festive Celebration Ramadhan buffet at the invitation of Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur on 15 June, 2017. We decided to go a bit early, in order to photograph the dishes before the diners arrive, but when we got to The Snug café, we saw that diners have already arrived. So I quickly went about taking as many photographs as possible, before settling down at our table to enjoy the dishes.
Unlike other hotels, Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur has decided to hold its first ever Ramadhan buffet by celebrating the Malay food from its surrounding neighbourhood. It is at an advantageous position, considering that Jalan Kamunting is a noted destination for good Malay food. What the hotel has managed to accomplish is to be the one-stop destination for a unique Ramadhan experience.
The food was excellent, to say the least. We hurried to try every item before satiaty caught hold of our appetite. I enjoyed the satay, the reef rendang and the "ban cien koay". In addition to the savoury dishes, there is also a good supply of the hotel's famous pastries, including the red velvet, macaroons and many more. I saved some space for fruits and ice cream.
Festive Celebration has been a delightful experience. My wife and I are most thankful to Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur for the opportunity to enjoy it.

Selective hotels in Malaysia are holding a feast during the holy month of Ramadhan. The following are the ones I have had the privileged of trying out.
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
