Masjid Diraja Tuanku Munawir in Seri Menanti, Negeri Sembilan (9 July, 2016)
Masjid Diraja Tuanku Munawir (GPS: 2.69758, 102.16066) is the Royal Mosque of Negeri Sembilan. It is located in the royal town of Seri Menanti, on State Route N24, near the Sri Menanti Royal Museum. The Seri Menanti Palace is likewise closeby.
Built in 1964 as a modern interpretation of Mughal architecture, Masjid Diraja Tuanku Munawir has a main dome over its prayer hall, and smaller domes on chhatris scattered about. As such, it is a reduced version of the Ubudiah Mosque of Kuala Kangsar. All the domes of Masjid Diraja Tuanku Munawir are gilded.
