Lexis Suites Penang's Ramadan Buffet Food Review
My wife and I had the pleasure of trying out Lexis Suites Penang's Ramadan buffet at a food review which the hotel held on 12 May, 2017. When we arrived, the tables were already decked out with lots of dishes. We saw that Lexis Suites Penang's Ramadan spread showcases both local and international Muslim cuisine, from Malay to Arabic. Local favourites include Gear Box Soup, Ekor Lembu Assam Pedas and Ikan Panggang. Then there's Arabic dishes such as Chicken Shawarma and Lamb Kuzi.
Diners can start their meal with various ulam, which comes with three different types of sambal. There's also various types of Kerabu, including Kerabu Sotong, Kerabu Udang and Kerabu Pucuk Paku. In addition, there's make-your-own rojak, with different ingredients on hand.
At the dessert station, we discover all sorts of kuih-muih including Kuih Talam, Kuih Lapis, Kuih Sago with Gula Melaka, Kuih Kosui, Ketayap, and much more. There's also pudding and Western-style chocolate cake, among others.
One of the popular stations that evening is the beverage station, where we can order teh tarik. Made fresh, this frothy treat added oomph to our meal.
My wife and I had a wonderful time enjoying the Ramadan spread from Lexis Suites Penang. There is so much to try, I think the item that I love best is the chicken cooked in dry curry. It is so delicious, though I do not have enough stomach to get a second helping.
My wife and I thank Lexis Suites Penang for having invited us to their Ramadan buffet. We enjoyed it very much.
Here I am with some of the items at Lexis Suites Penang's Ramadan Buffet. (12 May 2017)

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
