Caloundra is a town in Queensland, Australia. It is located on the Sunshine Coast, about 90 km (56 mi) north of Brisbane. The town has a population of 41,000 people. There was until 2008 a City of Caloundra, which has since been amalgamated into the Sunshine Coast Region. That former City includes Caloundra, Kawana and surrounding suburbs.

Caloundra traces its beginnings to 1875, when local businessman Robert Bulcock bought 277 acres of land in the area. He established a township, subdividing land plots and selling them. This was continued in 1917, when Robert Bulcock Jr subdivided plots totaling 404 lots, selling them and in the process developing an area called Bulcock Beach.

Today Caloundra is an urban area comprising the suburbs of Aroona, Battery Hill, Bells Creek, Caloundra, Caloundra West, Currimundi, Dicky Beach, Golden Beach, Kings Beach, Little Mountain, Meridan Plains, Moffat Beach, Pelican Waters and Shelly Beach. It has a number of beaches, some ideal for swimming while some not.
