Farm Cove (GPS: -33.86629, 151.22007) is a shallow bay and inlet in Sydney Harbour between Bennelong Point and Mrs Macquaries Point. Before the arrival of Europeans to the site, Farm Cove was an initiation ground for the indigenous tribe and was known as Woccanmagully.

After Captain Arthur Phillip formed the settlement in 1788, the area was set aside for the Government House, the private reserve of the Governor of New South Wales. The first farm in Australia was established here, and later in 1816, Governor Lachlan Macquarie established the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Farm Cove was also the site in 3 February 1954 where Queen Elizabeth II made her first landing on Australian soil. It was also the first time that a reigning monarch set foot in Australia.
