Makansutra Hawkers (GPS: 14.58336, 121.05713) is a food court on the 2nd floor of SM Megamall in Manila, Philippines. It specializes in heritage street food from Singapore. The stalls at Makansutra Hawkers are manned by hawkers from Singapore assistanted by the locals. Established by Singapore food ambassador K.F. Seetoh, the food court offers various Singapore hawker delights such as oyster omelette, grilled tofu, claypot chicken rice, satay, nasi lemak, birthday noodles, kway chap, bak kut teh, and much more. I had the opportunity to visit all the stalls and photograph every one of them.
Makansutra Hawkers is a self-service eatery. Patrons are advised to find their own seats before placing their orders. It may be necessary to station a fellow diner to reserve the table while you order your food. Upon ordering, patrons pay for their order, and is issue a number and estimated time of pick up. If the food court is packed, patrons are encourage to share tables with other diners.
