Pampanga is a province of the Philippines. It is located in Central Luzon, and is bordered by the province of Zambales to the west, Tarlac to the north, Nueva Ecija to the northeast, Bulacan to the east and Bataan to the south. It has a coastline facing Manila Bay in the south.
The capital of Pampanga is the City of San Fernando. Also located within Pampanga, but administered separately, is Angeles City. Pampanga covers an area of 2002.2 square kilometers (773 square miles) and has a population of over 2 million people. The province is famous throughout the Philippines for its local food. It is often regarded at the food capital of the Philippines.
