Enjoying my dinner at Red Chopsticks (6 March 2016)
It's scarcely ten days since our first visit to Red Chopsticks, but my wife and I were so longing to eat there that we were back. This time we did not tell the owner (our friend Tee Peck Siang) that we were coming. We don't want to look like we are hungry wolves looking for free food. But the fact that we come on our own accord means we enjoyed the food very much the first time we were there.
When we arrived that day, unannounced, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant was completely full. Apparently a big school group from Sarawak had "descended" on the shop, having put up at nearby Alora Hotel, but the teachers seeing us coming into the restaurant, invited us to take a seat next to them.

Mieng kham at Red Chopsticks (6 March 2016)
We did not venture far on the menu, sticking to items Peck Siang had let us try the previous visit. We ordered the nasi biru / nasi lemak set and the nasi tomato set. In addition to that, we also ordered the cendol. Everything was as good as on our first visit. The only difference is, considering we placed the orders ourselves, there was no danger of over eating.
We were half way through our dinner when Peck Siang walked in the door, and saw us to her pleasant surprise. We had not expected her in her shop (she told us she doesn't always come in), and we had wanted to surprise her afterwards that we returned on our own anyway. Now she found out then and there. And as a result of her appearing, we again get to get extra and more than we had planned. She treated us to her springroll otak-otak and her mieng kham, which is not yet on the menu. Everything was again so delicious, even though what we ordered for ourselves was already quite sufficient.
My wife and I once again enjoyed our dinner at Red Chopsticks, and we look forward to coming back as soon as we can, hungry for more.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
