Expo MRT Station (GPS: 1.33458, 103.96158; CG1) is an above ground station opened in 2001. It is an extended fork from the East-West Line to serve Changi Airport. It is located between the Changi Airport MRT Station and Tanah Merah MRT Station. The Expo MRT Station became an interchange with the opening of Stage 3 of the Downtown Line to commuters on 21 October, 2017. It is the eastern terminus of the Downtown Line after the Upper Changi MRT Station. Expansion plan is in place to extend the Downtown Line from this station to Xilin MRT Station, which will be completed in 2024.

The Expo MRT Station was designed by the famous architect Sir Norman Foster, and employed the use of titanium, steel and glass in its design. This station becames very busy whenever there is an event at the Singapore Expo.
