101 Lost Kittens (23 June 2013)
101 Lost Kittens is a project by a group of artists working to install a dozen street art at various points within the
George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site. The group comprises Tang Yeok Khang of
Bukit Mertajam, Natthaton Muangkliang of Thailand and Louise Low of Kuala Lumpur. The idea behind 101 Lost Kittens is to create more awareness over the issue of helping find homes for stray animals. Under the name ASA, or Artists for Stray Animals, the project has since come under the auspices of the George Town Festival 2013.
The 101 Lost Kittens project endeavours to help stray animals by generating interest through mural hunting and online contests via Facebook. The following are the murals that have been painted so far.
