83, 85 & 87 Acheen Street (GPS: 5.41474, 100.33631) is a row of three
Straits Eclectic-style shophouses within the core area of the
George Town World Heritage Site in Penang. It was built in the 1920's, and was recently restored (2010-2011), after the area became a World Heritage Site.

The three shophouses at 83, 85 & 87 Acheen Street have a
five-foot way with a colonnade of fluted ionic columns. This supports the upper floor, the façade of which comprises a seeries of full-length windows full full-length shutters, alternating with pilasters. 85 Acheen Street is the widest of the three shophouses, having four full-length windows as opposed three for its neighbours.
The transom has a wooden grid framed by molded arches. The spandrels between these arches are ornately decorated with a floral motif that surround the air vents. The beams are likewise decorated with floral plasterwork.
