Ah Soon Kor Har Mee 亞順哥蝦麵 (GPS: 5.41485, 100.33447) is a coffee shop specializing in Hokkien Mee, located on Carnarvon Street in George Town, Penang. In addition to this stall, Ah Soon Kor's mother continues to operate the Ah Soon Kor Har Mee stall at Sin Kim Sun Coffee Centre on Macalister Road.

30 March, 2016 I have just been informed by Ah Soon Kor that he has relocated from Perak Road to Carnarvon Street, to the premises formerly known as The Vintage Set Cafe. His new shop will begin operations the next day, 31 March, 2016.

10 October, 2015: It's been a while since I had the Ah Soon Kor Hokkien Mee. Not for want of trying. We did go there at least on three different occasions, but the shop was always closed. I thought they have closed down. So we tried again this morning, and by luck found that it was operating. I asked Ah Soon Kor why his shop was closed on my previous trips. Apparently, due to lack of manpower, he was now selling only from morning until afternoon, closing up by 2:00 pm or so. We had gone there during dinner time, and that's why it was not operating.

2 May, 2015: I visited the Ah Soon Kor Har Mee coffee shop (as a customer) for the first time on 2 May, 2015. We arrived around 9:00 am in the morning and ordered our usual "big bowl". This is how it looks like:

If you are coming from the direction of Kampung Kolam, Ah Soon Kor Har Mee Coffee Shop is on your left, on the row between Carnarvon Lane and Malay Street. As parking in front of the shop is limited, I would suggest finding a parking space nearby.

Ah Soon Kor at Perak Road

The first time I discovered the Ah Soon Kor Hokkien Mee was at Macalister Road, where he was selling in the Sin Kim Sun Coffee Centre. Ah Soon Kor then managed to rent a shoplot on Perak Road, and he began his business there on Thursday, 30 April, 2015. The coffee shop is open the whole day from morning until night time.
