Chatham-Kent is a unitary authority on the northern shore of Lake Erie, in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It covers 2,458 sq km (949 sq mi) and has a population of 104,000 people (2012 estimate). The city of Chatham, the precursor to today's Chatham-Kent, was founded in the 1790s. It was named after Chatham, in Kent, England. It was one of the towns within the Underground Railroad, a network of routes and safe houses used by blacks to escape from slavery.

Today the primary industries in Chatham-Kent include agricultura and automotive. It is the birthplace of Hank Chrysler, the father to Walter P. Chrysler, who founded the Chrysler car company. The world's largest auction house for vintage automobiles is also located here, in Blenheim.
