St Catharines is a city in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. It covers 96.11 sq km (11 sq mi) and has a population of 131,000.

The history of St Catharines goes back to the 1780s, when the area was settled by Loyalists fleeing the United States following the American Revolutionary War. One of the earliest to arrive was Serjeant Jacob Dittrick and Private John Hainer. St Catharines was incorporated as a town in 1845 and reincorporated as a city in 1876.

St Catharines experiences a humid continental climate. July is the warmest month, with average high temperature of 27.1°C (80.8°F). January is the coldest month, with average low temperature of -7.7°C (18.1°F). September gets the most rain while January the most snow.

Due to its proximity to the US border, St Catharines is used as a call center for many companies in Canada and the United States.

From Toronto, take Highway 407 until Burlington, then continue on Queen Elizabeth Way to reach St Catharines.
