Cachagua is a rustic beach town facing the Pacific Ocean in Central Chile. It is about 73 km (45 mi) to the north of Valparaíso.
Today the coastline of Cachagua is lined with upscale resorts and condominiums belonging to people in Valparaíso and Santiago. The town center has a plaza shaded by eucalyptus trees. From here, beach paths leads down to Playa Grande, the main beach of the area.
Among the beach activities available at Cachagua include horse riding and surfing. As with Zapallar, it has seen the development of a few upscale vacation condominiums and resorts.
