La Paloma is a coastal town in Rocha department, in southeastern Uruguay. The city facing the Atlantic Ocean has a population of 3,200 people (2011 estimate). Today La Paloma is a popular retreat for Uruguayans as well as Argentinians and Brazilians. The town has a beach where it is possible to go surfing.
