Buffalo is a small city in Johnson County, in northern Wyoming. It covers 3.5 sq mi (9.1 sq km) and has a population of around 4,000 people (2012 estimate).

Today Buffalo derives much of its income from the production of methane in the Powder River Basin and its surroundings.
