College Park is a city in Prince George's County in northwestern Maryland, USA. It covers 5.44 sq mi (14.09 sq km) and has a population of 30,000 people (2011 estimate), within the Washington DC metropolitan area. The national capital is just to the west of College Park.

College Park was established in 1889 on land near the Maryland Agricultural College. It was incorporated in 1945. The University of Maryland, College Park, also called simply as University of Maryland, predates College Park itself, having been founded in 1856.

You can take the Washington Metrorail and Marc trains to reach College Park from Washington DC. If coming by car from Washington DC, take US Highway 1 (Baltimore Avenue).
