Havre is a city in northern Montana that was named after the city of Le Havre in France. It covers 3.5 sq mi (9 sq km) and has a population of around 10,000 people (2011 estimate). The city is 2,536 ft (773 m) above sea level.

As with many of the cities in Montana, Havre was developed with the railroad was built through the area. It was established in 1893 as a railroad service center for the Great Northern Railway which runs between Minneapolis-St Paul and Seattle. The person instrumental in building the railway was James J Hill, whose statue stands at the Havre Amtrak railway station.
Originally called Bullhook Bottoms, the new town was quickly renamed Havre by original settlers. The city experiences a semi arid climate with hot, wet summers and cold, dry winters. July is the hottest month, with average high temperatures of 84.6°F (29.2°F). January is the coldest moth, when average low temperature drops to 3.7°F (-15.7°C). June receives the most rain at 1.9 in (48.3 mm).

Havre is on US Highway 2 running east west to link with Interstate 15 at Shelby to the west.

- Bear's Paw Battlefield Site
Site where the Nez Perce Native American people were attacked and defeated by the US Cavalry.
- Fort Assinniboine
One of the main military outposts of Montana from 1879 until the Prohibition era.
- Wahkpa Chu'gn Buffalo Jump
A prehistoric bison kill, one of the largest and best preserved, is located within Havre.
