Malibu is a famous beach-front community in western Los Angeles County, California. Malibu covers an area of 19.828 sq mi (51.354 sq km) on a 21-mile (34-km) stretch of the Pacific coastline. It is home to some 12,650 people (2011 estimate). The area has attracted many Hollywood celebrities to make their homes on the beach.
The Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1) runs through Malibu, which is roughly bordered by Topanga Canyon to the east, the Santa Monica Mountains to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the south, and Ventura County to the west.
In addition to being an affluent residential suburb, Malibu has fine beaches for surfing. Among the beaches in Malibu include Dan Blocker Beach, Malibu State Beach, Point Dume State Beach, Surfrider Beach, Topanga State Beach and Zuma Beach.
The landscape of Malibu comprises dry brush and steep clay slopes. The area is susceptible to fires, floods and mudslides, making it not the most ideal for housing.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
