The US Bank Tower is the tallest building in California and the tenth tallest in the United States. It is located at 633 West Fifth Street in Los Angeles. The skyscraper stands 1,018 ft (310.3 m) from the ground. It has 73 stories above ground and two levels of basement. The US Bank Tower is the tallest building in the United States west of the Mississippi.

The US Bank Tower was built between 1987 and 1989. The designer was Henry N Cobb from the architectural firm of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. The building cost $350 million to build.

The US Bank Tower is also known as the Library Tower and the First Interstate Bank World Center. The name Library Tower came about because it is within the redevelopment area of the Los Angeles Central Library. After two fires to the library, the City of Los Angeles sold the air rights to the developer of the building, to fund the reconstruction of the library. The Los Angeles Public Library is located across West Fifth Street from the building.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
