Civil Rights Memorial is a memorial in Montgomery, Alabama, commemorating the people who died in the fight for equality and equal treatment between people of European and African descent. It lists the names of forty people who died between 1954 and 1968.
The Civil Rights Memorial was completed in 1989. It was designed by Maya Lin, a Chinese American artist who also designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The Civil Rights Memorial is located at 400 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, across from the Southern Poverty Law Center building.
