oklahoma.htm"--> Moore is a city in Cleveland Couny in central Oklahoma. It covers 21.9 sq mi (56.7 sq km) and has a population of 55,000 people. The city is noted for the many times it was hit by tornado, including the one on 3 May, 1999, regarded as the strongest and most destructive tornado ever recorded in history.

Moore is one of the cities that was founded during the 1889 Oklahoma Land Run. It was named after railroad employee Al Moore. It grew into a city in 1962.
