The John Street Methodist Church is a church in Manhatten, New York City. It is housed in a Georgian-style building at 44 John Street. The church was was built in 1841, thus making it the oldest Methodist church in North America. It is also believed to be the first meeting place of believers of the Methodist congregation.

The present John Street Methodist Church building is the third church building to be located at the site. The first was Wesley Chapel built in 1768. It was replaced by the second structure which stood on this site from 1817 until 1841, when the present building was erected.
The curch was originally part ofthe Church of England until 1784, when there was a split between the Methodists of America with the Church of England, resulting in Wesley Chapel being renamed the John Street Methodist Episcopal Church. Today it is known as the John Street United Methodist Church.
Due to its long history, the John Street Methodist Church also has an inhouse museum located below the sanctuary. It displays items from the 18th and 19th century, giving visitors a glimpse of the history of the American Methodist movement.
John Street Methodist Church was declared a New York City Landmark in 1964. Following that, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

There are a number of subway stations in the vicinity. You can the the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J or Z train to the Fulton Street Subway Station and walk from there.
