Unalaska is a small town on Unalaska Island, in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. It is primarily a fishing town, and holds the distinction of having the largest fisheries port in the United States by volume caught. The port facilities are at Dutch Harbor, which is popularly called simply as Dutch.

The city of Unalaska covers 212 sq mi (550 sq km) although almost half of that is water. It has a population of less than 4,000 people. The city experiences subpolar oceanic climate with heavy fog. The mean temperature is around 52°F (11.1°C) in August and 38°F (3.3°C) in January.

Getting to Unalaska is a touch-and-go exercise. The main gateway is Unalaska Airport, also called the Tom Madsen Airport. However, due to the harsh weather conditions, flights are regularly cancelled.
