The U.S. Virgin Islands, formally the Virgin Islands of the United States, is a group of islands in the Caribbean Sea. They are part of the Virgin Islands archipelago within the Lesser Antilles. Covering an area of 134 sq mi (346 sq km), the U.S. Virgin Islands comprises three main islands, namely Saint Croix, Saint John and Saint Thomas, along with several smaller islands.

Travel to and within the U.S. Virgin Islands
You can fly to St. Croix or St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. St. Thomas is only accessible by ferry boats. To explore the island on your own, you should rent a car. It would cost you about US$80 per day to rent one.
