Winslow is a small town in Navajo County, Arizona. Covering 12.3 sq mi (31.9 sq km), Winslow has a population of around 10,000 (2011 estimate). It is not related to Winslow, England.
Winslow is best known from the exposure it received from the Eagles song "Take It Easy", where the town was mentioned in the lyrics. The song provided Winslow a much needed boost in attention. There is even a public park, the Standin' on the Corner Park that commemorates that line in Take It Easy. The park has a two-story trompe-l'œil mural behind the statue of a man standing in the corner with a guitar. The site was however partly damaged by a fire in 2005, and was since fenced up. I learn that bricks are being sold to donors to fund the repairs, but am not sure whether the repairs have been completed.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
