Armenian Street Heritage Hotel, Penang (11 July 2014)
Armenian Street Heritage Hotel (GPS: 5.415556, 100.335356) is a hotel within the heritage enclave of George Town. It is located at the junction of
Carnarvon Street and
Acheen Street. Curiously, despite its name, the hotel does not actually "touch" Armenian Street, which is across the road. It opened for business on
12 November, 2013 offering guests comfortable accommodation within the heart of the
George Town World Heritage Site.
The Armenian Street Heritage Hotel occupies a 6-storey building of which the first two levels are used as boutiques and shoplots. The hotel offers 92 en-suite guestrooms and also houses cafes and souvenir shops. The
George Town Interpretative Centre is also housed here.
