Jilin Province 吉林省 is a province of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the northeast region of the country. It covers 187,000 sq km (72,400 sq mi) and has a population of 28 million (2011 estimate). It is the 13th biggest province of China by area and 21st most populous.
Jilin Province borders North Korea to the southeast and Russia to the northeast. It also borders Heilongjiang province to the north, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to the west and Liaoning Province to the south. Until standardization to Pinyin, the name of the province was transliterated as Kirin.
Jilin Province is on the central part of Northeast China. It experiences a continental monsoon climate. The winters here are long and cold while the summers are short and moderately warm.

Going to Jilin Province
You can fly to Jilin Province, arriving at either the Changchun Longjia International Airport (CGQ) or Yanji Airport (YNJ). Changchun receives flights from Seoul and Tokyo in addition to major cities in China.
