Bambusetum, Penang Botanic Gardens (25 May 2013)
Bambusetum (GPS: 5.43716, 100.29229) is one of the botanic gardens within the
Penang Botanic Gardens. The ground breaking was carried out on 26 July 2007 by Teng Chang Yeow, the then chairman of the Tourism Development and Environment Committee of the then state government. It is sites at the former site of the Coronation Camp of the Penang Botanic Gardens.

The Bambusetum provides nature lovers with an opportunity to get to know various types of bamboo. A walking track is built through the area. It winds up the hill slope and down again. According to Salasiah Yusop, the assistant director of the state botanic gardens department, there are some 36 bamboo species planted in the bambusetum. The bamboos come from Malaysia as well as neighbouring countries including Thailand, Indonesia and China.

The Bambusetum is located on the north side of
Jalan Kebun Bunga. You can reach it by taking
